Revelation of Jesus Christ: An Elementary Exam
The book of Revelation scares many people. It should not, if approached properly, using inductive questions and techniques. Revelation is not about the Rapture or even the Last Judgment, although that is mentioned in the last chapters. Revelation is the disclosure by God the Father to His Apostle John of the true nature of the ascended, glorified, triumphant Christ, who rules the universe from His heavenly throne. Revelation is first and foremost about the glorified Christ who governs the nations and calls them to repentance. Revelation is the Gospel concentrated, intensified, and spiritualized. A study of Revelation should not be an attempt to prophesy the end of history or the date of the rapture, but an attempt to understand the nature of our Risen Lord and the way He governs history.
This volume covers only Chapters 1-9 in the book of Revelation and contains 14 lessons. Each lesson contains a reading assignment, some inductive questions, and a commentary on the passage.
